Day 14 🐈‍⬛ 

2 weeks! It has gone so fast. Ofc we need an update.

As much as I've prepared myself for this I could never have haha. I remember my biggest worry was that he wouldn't like us or like it here. That when we found him he was just so cute and happy because he'd been alone and afraid for so long outside. But he truly is the sweetest little guy, even more than I could ever have imagined đŸ„č♥️ it has been challenging at times with his paws, limping and eye infection. But he truly is the perfect little soul and we already feel that we cannot imagine our lives without him.  Today we built his new toilet house and instead of hiding like when we built the clothing rack in the first days, he was sniffing every tool, climbing into the cabinet, testing the view from the top of it, laying on top of the boxes and inspecting our work. In only these weeks together he really has become a part of our little family and the most exciting thing has definitly been watching him grow more and more confident and see all layers of his personality start to shine through. We kind of already knew in February, but more sure than ever now, that Stitch has a place in our hearts and our home if he ever needs it. As he is still sick though and he is our first cat still, we would really appreciate your continued expertise until we know for sure he is going to be okay and what is causing his problems. His paws are smoother than ever and he is a lot better but still we see some limping and the corners of his eyes aren't entirely clear yet.

Today's picture is of Stitch having climbed up to officially take his little work buddy seat. Dreams do come true đŸ„č

Thanks, Miriam. I also believe we have to keep in touch because of his eye and limping. Im pretty sure that SmÄlandsKatten has to pay for the vet visit for that if they dont go away. But i am truly happy that he found you both.


Thank you Katie. We didn't really believe you'd just have the contracts and a good luck for us but it still feels nice to hear ☺️♥️ please let us know what Kikki thinks regarding the metacam. We put the paw oil on paus for a bit as his paws looks nice now and he was getting so frustrated as it took time to do all the medications 3 times a day. So its just eye cream and metacam now. Keeping an eye on the paws as well though in case they'd get dry again.

Ok, sÄ alla tidigare inlÀgg innan detta har varit utdrag frÄn meddelandekonversationer jag hade med katthemmet under Stitchs första tid hos oss. Tyckte det vore kul att ha det lite samlat som minnen av hans först tid hÀr. Kommer uppdatera med bilder och videor som saknas allteftersom med, men slÀngde iaf upp det lite grovt nu sÄ det blir gjort. Nu tÀnker jag att den hÀr bloggen skall bli lite som min egen kattdagbok, för att hÄlla lite koll pÄ Stitchs utveckling. SÄ i princip samma format som inlÀggen tidigare, men riktat mot mig sjÀlv och inte Katie frÄn katthemmet. Utöver det som vi vet frÄn tidigare inlÀgg har lite mer saker skett som jag vill tillÀgga. TrÀning med sele Stitch har blivit trÀnad i sele och koppel. Till en början sÄ gick han vÀldigt konstigt i sin sele. Men nu gÄr han jÀttefint och naturligt. Han tycker till och med om att ha den pÄ sig och börja spinna nÀr man tar fram den (helt klart för att han vet att han kommer fÄ massor med godis dÄ han har pÄ sig den men haha)....

Day 11 😾

Day 11 😾 stitch is a changed cat! His paws look so much better now and his eyes too. Still a bit infected in one of them but he opens both. He has been strutting around all day with barely any limp. Also instantly started climbing and jumping down from things. Previously he didn't dare to jump anywhere and would stall and need help or find a way to step down slowly. He has more confidence and was more explorative and very playful today. He loves his little tunnel and toys and is so cute peeking out with his lil face đŸ„č played several times and started training him some tricks today as he is very snackie oriented. We are looking forward to when he is completely well and the eye poking and all can cease. He is very tolerant but we can tell he is getting a bit frustrated with it. Still he is the most sweet and loving cat and just wants to be close at nearly all times and we feel so lucky to have him with us ♥️

Stitch Update day 2. 🐈‍⬛ Took a while for him to leave the bed this morning but then he was back to his snuggly self. Only got a little spooked by an ambulance outside at one point at which he scooted back under the bed poor thing. Stitch is a little angel and really loves people. 😆 My bf Janne's brother came over a short while and they were besties right away ❤️ let him cary him around like a purring baby and looked like a little king in heaven with all the attention 😂 In the evening he finally played a little bit! đŸ„łHe was not interested in any of the toys but a piece of string was apparently it.
